There are rich electronic resources in the library of SDUFE, which are beneficial to the study and research of students and teachers. After its establishment, SDUFE appeals to more and more international students and foreign teachers. Therefore, for the convenience of users and visitors both home and abroad, the translator undertakes the task of translating the Chinese version of SDUFE Library Electronic Resources Manual into English. This report consists of five parts. The first part deals with the background of the task and the introduction of the source text. The second part mainly introduces the translation process, including pre-translation preparation, overcoming difficulties in translation, proofreading and modification. The third part presents the theoretical framework, including an overview of the Skopos theory and its rules. Part Four illustrates translation methods including amplification, omission and abbreviation from the perspective of words, and division, combination and re-position components from the perspective of sentences, based on the analysis of the translation. The fifth part concludes the whole report, which presents the gains and shortcomings. It is hoped that other translators can draw experience from it and can overcome similar problems in the future.
