| The material for translation is Putting Ourselves into Practice: Popular Education at/and Universities chosen from Journal of Education. It is a journal article, which centers on popular education and university adult education in universities of South Africa. This translation report, including translation task, translation process, examples of translation difficulties and translation summary, is written on the basis of the translation of the article. Through the translation practice, the translator has an acquaintance of education systems in South Africa and the characteristics of academic papers on education. At the same time, the translator analyzes some typical translation difficulties with regard to specific cases from perspectives of vocabulary and sentence, comes up with some techniques used in the translation of academic papers and makes a summary on it. |
