Peer relation refers to a kind of common activity and cooperation relationship between the same or similar age children, or refers to develop relationship between similar peers or individuals with same psychological developmental level in the process of interaction. It has a great influence on teenagers study and life. Because of the limitation of age and compulsory education, peer relation mostly occurs in school between classmates. Domestic and foreign research shows that good peer relation has an irreplaceable role in the process of teenagers growth and socialization. Academic help-seeking mainly refers to behavior happened in school situations(not including test or test)as the main form of oral question, ask the teacher or a classmate for help. Students with poor peer relation easy to retreat in interpersonal interaction, tending to avoid the cooperation, so they will not take the initiative to ask for help when facing with some difficulties in study. Consequently, the peer relation will affect the students’ academic help-seeking behavior. The improvement of the peer relationship can enhance academic help-seeking behavior, and the group counseling is one of the effective method to affect the peer relationship of junior high school students.This study consists of two parts: Study one, analyzes the relationship of peer relations and academic help-seeking behavior in the second year students; Study two, conduct group guidance for peer relationship of the second year students, and discusses whether the group counseling can improve the peer relations of the second year students, thus improving their academic help-seeking behavior. Conclusion summarized as follows:Study one shows that,1.The second year students` peer relation shows significant differences between gender. Girls peer relationship is significantly higher than boys. Whether or not only-child have no significant differences on academic help-seeking behavior. The second year students academic help-seeking behavior were no significant differences in gender and whether the only.2.There has a significant positive correlation between peer relations and academic help-seeking behavior of the second year students, and peer relationship can positively predict academic help-seeking behavior.Study Two shows that,Through the group counseling, subjects` peer relationship is significantly improved, peer relationship and academic help-seeking behavior have significant change before and after the intervention. It means that the group counseling intervention in this research is effective.
