Report On The Interpretation Strategy Of The Official Press Conference

Chinese official press conference, as the major channel to communicate with foreigncountries, has obvious characteristics in diplomatic and political aspects. And theinterpretation of conference as the main way to deliver cultural information is getting moreand more attention which has become the hot topic in translation studies. Therefore this paperresearches the official press conference, and takes the Premier Li Keqiang meeting the pressin2013as the example. Under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory, the author putsforward the difficult points in interpretation and specific methods and concludes theinterpretive strategies hoping to give some constructive suggestions to the interpretation offuture international press conference.The first chapter is about the brief introduction of the interpretative theory with threelevels and the triangle model. The second chapter analyzes the difficulties of interpreting thepress conference by Li Keqiang in2013, including the four-word phrases, the old saying andthe expressions with Chinese characteristics. In the third chapter, under the guidance of theInterpretive Theory the author puts forward some interpretive strategies of Li Keqiangmeeting the press in2013including the integration of key points and the restructuring of thesentences from the linguistic level as well as the logic processing from the textual level. Thelast chapter concludes the main points of this paper.
