A Study Of The Strategies Of Simultaneous Interpretation From The Perspective Of Interpretive Theory

With the development of global economy, interpretation has been a bridge for the communication so that the requirement of the exchange of economy, politics, culture and other aspects, therefore, the requirement of interpreters is higher than ever.In numerous interpreting theories, the Paris Interpretive Theory, which is also named the theory of sense, is widely used and studied, and it also provides the effective theoretical guide for interpreting. The Interpretive Theory is the basic perspective in this thesis. Taking the simultaneous interpretation from Chinese to English of the opening address as the basic text, and according to the Interpretive Theory, this thesis attempts to work out proper compensation strategies at the levels of phrase, sentence, and discourse.The thesis also holds that if an interpreter can refer to the Interpretive Theory during the process of simultaneous interpreting, the interpreting can be easier and the result of interpreting can be perfect. In the process of simultaneous interpreting and consecutive interpreting, interpreters are improving their interpreting skills by the guide of interpreting theory and the practice they gained in interpreting.
