Interpretation is a cross-cultural activity, which has become a bridge betweenChina and foreign countries in terms of cooperation and communication. Owing to itshigh continuity in transmitting and efficiency in exchanging, the simultaneousinterpreting(SI)is being widely applied on many international communicationoccasions.In this thesis, the author uses the Thorough Implementation of CPC’s Mass LineCampaign Cathedra as the material of simulated interpreting because of itsrepresentativeness with Chinese characteristics. After completing the mock task withclassmates together, she wrote down every word, and analyzed the merits anddemerits of her performance in carrying out the task.This is a reflective research report. There are three main parts in the thesis:taskpreparation, interpreting process and reflection. The author figures out the problemssuch as deficiency in vocabulary, shortage in short-term memory, lack of ability in theapplication of translation techniques, uneven attention distribution as well asemotional fluctuation. The corresponding strategies are put forward, meanwhile, theobjective and effective assessments from the audience are given to help the author tosolve the problems.The report is completed by combining the practice and reflection from the pointof view of the writer. The author works with classmates together to create anemulation environment. By writing this paper, the author gains a lot of preciouspractical experience in simultaneous interpretation study.
