English-Chinese Translation Of Long Sentences In Master Services Agreement

This is a translation report which is mainly to summarize how to translate longsentences in Master Services Agreement. Long sentences, especially those in Englishagreements, are characterized by large amounts of information, very complicatedstructure and rich meanings. Therefore, it is usually difficult for translators to translatelong sentences. In this report, the author firstly introduces the Master ServicesAgreement and the reason why translation of long sentences is chosen as the topic ofthis report. Then, the author analyzes features and types of long sentences andparticularly discusses how to use five translation methods: sequential translation,reverse translation, split translation, insertion translation and reconstructiontranslation to translate long sentences in Master Services Agreement. Finally, theauthor concludes some gains and unsolved problems in the process of translation.
