Problems And Solutions For C-E Translation Of Economic Report

Currently, economy and finance have always been a hot topic in China even in the whole world. Economic studies and international finance conferences, especially after the outbreak of the financial crisis in2008, continue to increase and draw great attention from all walks of life. Considering the increasing market demand for translation and interpreting in the economic field, the author chooses an economic report named New Features of the Financial Crisis as the original text for translation study. This economic report mainly features descriptive and analytical language, and contains a large number of financial terms not only including international generic terms but also Chinese characteristic terms.Based on the translation standards of East and West, this study report aims to achieve professional and high quality translation through case analysis and comparison. This study report consists of four parts, namely, introduction, standards for translation quality, translation difficulties and coping strategies, as well as conclusion. Chapter one talks about text selection background, text analysis, and description of the whole translation process. Chapter two focuses on the translation standards of East and West, and two essential criteria. Chapter three, as the main body of the report, analyzes four types of translation difficulties at content level and linguistic level, and finds out practical solutions for each problem. Chapter four makes a conclusion for this study report.
