Translation Report On The Discussion Of Economic Reform Strategy

The speech is excerpted from Discussion on the Economic Reform Strategy of Strategic Options to Prosperity. The reform has been more than twelve years since the3rd Session of the11th CPC Meeting. After two years’ improvement and rectification, we are at a critical reform and development moment currently. We must consider the future of economic reform and development seriously from a strategic perspective, thus choosing a path of socialist economic reform and development in line with China’s national conditions. Hence, the significance is profound, especially from the translation perspective as economic development is the primary concern for China, translation should advance with the times.Translation process is not only a conversion activity, but also a human behavior, and all the behaviors have their own purpose. The purpose of the translation determines the whole process. According to Skopostheorie, flexible translation strategies and methods can be adopted in line with the function and purpose of the target text. With the help of the theory, the author discusses the translation difficulties and translation methods systemically and clearly, so as to improve translation quality.
