Chinese has long history and profound cultural connotation, beautiful charactersand cadences make so many foreign students be fascinated with her. HoweverChinese is a complex and profound language, it is really not easy to say standardChinese. Beginners of Chinese students are always eager to use the conversation helearned in practice, but the difference between the knowledge from class and the realcommunication often give the students big shock. Therefore, it is very important toimprove the communicative skill of beginners, which will affects students’self-confidence and motivation to learn in subsequent stages in a certain extent.Elementary Chinese Comprehensive Course bears the skill training of all aspects,and takes major responsibility in the process of improving the level of Chineselanguage learners. In the entry stage, making improving listening and speaking skills abreakthrough and then the reading and writing skills is in line with the law of learningfrom easy to difficult. Therefore, how to improve the communication skill whichmainly of listening and speaking skills, so that the beginners can get a positiveemotional experience in the beginning of Chinese learning and thus they can keeptheir enthusiasm, constant attempt of teaching methods is necessary.Task-based approach is developing rapidly since its appearance. It was accepted byChinese teaching profession of our country from1990s and then was trying to applyto all types of classroom teaching. Using task-based approach to mobilize theenthusiasm of students, and to improve teaching efficiency is very worthwhile toexplore.I combined the research results of domestic and abroad, analyzed the advantages oftask-based teaching, the difficulty points and other issues in teaching which need to bepaid attention with. In this paper, I analyzed the primary level of Chinese students inKorea as samples, and then made a design and experiment of Elementary ChineseComprehensive Course. Firstly selected an unit from the textbook, designedtask-based activities combining the topic of this unit; Then, tested the results bypracticing in classroom; Finally collected the feedback through interviews of teachers and students. As a result, I was able to grasp the teaching effect of task-based teachingand got inspiration of how to improve it.This study is made up of six parts:Chapter1: Introduction section. Including the background and significance ofchoosing this topic, the necessity of doing this study, as well as the meaning andmethods of research. Finally introduced the points and purpose which is expected toachieve in this study.Chapter2: Related theory and the development process of task-based approach.Including the theoretical basis of task-based approach: the communicative approach,constructivism, second language acquisition theory. The study results of task-basedapproach from domestic and abroad, focusing on the introduction of the course fromentering the teaching profession of English to entering the teaching profession ofChinese.Chapter3: A survey of the current teaching situation. Investigated the curriculuminside the Woosuk University Confucius Academy and inside the university andmiddle school which have cooperation with Confucius Academy, and the students’learning model as well as the teachers’ teaching model. Interviewed the teachers ofelementary comprehensive Chinese course, and had discussion in detail with theteachers about the current teaching situation. And asked the teacher to illustratematerials analysis methods and teaching design of a class as example.Chapter4: Design and implementation section. Selected an unit from the textbookand combined the real learning need of students, designed the teaching links and putinto implementation. Made a comprehensive record of the implementation of thisclass design.Chapter5: A survey of teaching effect. Interviewed the students and teachers aboutthis teaching practice, get real feedback and valuable suggestions for improving thequality of teaching design later.Chapter6: the conclusion. Combed the context of this article, made a summary ofthe full text and analyzed the major harvest and shortcomings.
