Social music education as the national music education a part of, because of its effective broad coverage, to a great extent, decided to a country’s national music culture quality. At present, the social music education theory research is still in its infancy, but a lot of scholars have begun to investigate the series. This article USES the music education theory research methods, using the method of questionnaire investigation and data collection, mainly to the community of yanji city music education present situation investigation and study, through the analysis of the survey data of collect found on the basis of the local social music education of common problems, such as:social music education institutions in running schools is not standard; Yanji social music education participants mentality utility; Yanji social music education bad teachers; Yanji social music education object range is limited; Yanji social music education needs to improve on teaching and learning.In view of the above shortcomings, proposed the feasible solutions to small and medium-sized cities and put forward the macroscopic conform to social music education in the direction of development:inheriting the national culture, development of social music education; Expanding the scope of the education, improve the educatees ages; Deepen the social music education reform on teaching and learning; Based on yenji, culture, innovation of social music education. Combined with the scene of the present development situation and advantages of yanji city, to promote our social music education further development and improvement.
