To make these employees better integrate into a multinational company and tocreate wealth for the company, almost every company has its own employee handbook.The “Employee handbook” is designed to help employees better understand the companyby introducing the company’s background, values, human resource policy, administrativespecification and other various information.This essay is a practice-based translation report on the Employee Handbook ofLenovo Group Ltd. Chinese and English, because of their different habits in usinglanguage, culture and thinking modes, differ in sentence patterns. When translating, thetranslator needs to express meaning in accordance with idiomatic patterns of the targetlanguage.
