In this Paper, from the perspective of the blue-white porcelain of the early Ming Dynasty, it conducts systematic combing, analysis, comparison and textual research from such aspects as the historical background, burning workmanship, artistic level and so on. With integrating the viewpoints and final conclusions in this field and combining with the author’s own practical experiences of research on the blue-white porcelain of the Ming Dynasty, the rationality of its historical existence is discussed deeply and comprehensively.Theory:Taking the comprehensive analysis from such perspectives as philosophy, history, Chinese ideas history, art history, fine art science, real object and so on as the footstone, the previous situation that the research subject isolation is caused because of the discussion from the single perspective. For example, while conducting textual research on the blue-white porcelain of the early Ming Dynasty burnt in the state-operated kiln, the state-operated kiln is compared with the private kiln. In past, for research on the blue-white porcelain, the academic circle more focused on the blue-white porcelain burnt in the state-operated kiln. However, the author holds that, for research on the blue-white porcelain of the early Ming Dynasty, it is extremely wrong if it does not take the porcelain burnt in the private kiln or porcelain burnt in the state-operated kiln into account. The porcelain burning competition between the state-operated kiln and the private kiln supplements each other and is mutually affected. For another example, the researchers of the cultural relics focus on the history and culture, and have relatively less discussion on the artistic level.Practice:The author has participated in production in person, and discusses the rationality of its historical existence from the perspective of the archaizing workmanship of the blue-white porcelain of the early Ming Dynasty, and the theory is tested and enhanced with the practice.Correction:It conducts complement and correction for some "final conclusions" that were not given in scientific manner. For example, in the past, the researchers of the porcelain of Ming Dynasty defined that the early Ming Dynasty covered the period of the reigns of Hongwu, Jianwen, Yongle, Hongxi and Xuande, and the reigns of Zhengtong, Jingtai and Tianshun were defined to be the "blank period". For the reason, there was no porcelain with clear time in such period. In this Paper, with the proof of historical records and real objects, the conclusion that "it is not blank in the blank period" has been obtained, the viewpoint for the blank period in the academic circle is ended, and the definition of the early Ming Dynasty is determined to start from the reign of Hongwu and end until the reign of Tianshun.New archeological findings:Academic research on the ancient porcelain itself is a process of continuous exploring and practice. With emergence of new real object evidences, it can obtain the new viewpoint that is same to or different from the previous "final conclusion". In this Paper, the existing theory is proved with some new archeological findings in recent years.
