The Project consists of two major parts. First part is the excerpts of the translation of Translation in A Postcolonial Context. Second, the author discussed the problems which encountered in the translation practice in detail and propose solutions for them for making good foundation to improve the author’s translation ability. The selected text is about the two translation traditions and various schools of Early Irish Literature in English Translation, which is made translation practice political, ideological, cultural and economical, thus, there are so many long and complicated sentences. The representation and solution of the long difficult sentences in the process of translation are described in this report. This translation practice concludes that, in the translation of long English sentences, the translator should determine the translation sequence of the whole sentence firstly, that is to say, according to the differences of English and Chinese language in the placement of crucial information, and the translator decides the translation strategy in the light of Chinese logical sequence.
