A Study On Capability And Cultivating Strategy Of The Scholarship Of Teaching Of Language University English Teacher

Scholarship of Teaching becomes an important issue of promoting the quality of higher education, Scholarship of Teaching and related researches have become a hot issue in the field of current higher education research, the development of Scholarship of Teaching can directly affect the comprehensive improvement of the quality of higher education. Therefore, whether the teacher has certain Scholarship of Teaching capability has the extremely vital significance to either teacher’s professional development of the whole higher education field or the comprehensive improvement of the quality of teaching in higher education. English as a core major in foreign language universities put more emphasis on systematically training students’ language ability and comprehensively improving students’ integrative ability, the teacher’s Scholarship of Teaching capability can directly affect the improvement of the quality of English teaching in the process of on the basis of language teaching. Language University English Teacher has excellent Scholarship of Teaching capability will also help to solve a lot of drawbacks in current English teaching.In this study the two main aspects of Scholarship of Teaching capability as the research perspective, namely curriculum development ability and teaching design ability. Xi ’an International Studies University as the representative was selected, the research carried out by the following three specific aspects: Cognition and emotion of the Scholarship of Teaching capability of Language University English Teachers; Self-evaluation of the Scholarship of Teaching capability of Language University English Teachers; Difficulties encountered in the process of developing the Scholarship of Teaching capability. Implore and discuss the state of development of Scholarship of Teaching capability, understand the specific problems in the process of developing the Scholarship of Teaching capability and its reasons. Many problems found through the study and the targeted strategies put forward, aiming at the above problems, providing some new ideas for development of foreign language teaching, helping to promote the Scholarship of Teaching capability of university English teachers.
