An Empirical Study On Cultural Creativity Industry Promotes Economic Development

Nowadays, cultural creativity industry(CCI hereafter) faces a development opportunity under the background of development regarding informationization revolution and knowledge economy, which has a profound influence worldwide. China is now experiencing an important period of economic transition where CCI is regarded as an integration of culture, science and technology, which is an important way that accelerates economic growth and optimizes industrial structures in terms of an extensive industrial infiltration and high added value. China, as a result, supports the CCI development since 2012 when 18 th CPC National Congress indicates that it is significant to strengthen nation through cultural construction strategy where CCI can be developed as an industrial pillar. Shandong is regarded as a large province concerning its economy and culture where there is a unique and potential advantage of CCI development. However, there is a large gap between Shandong province and other region or developed countries owing to an early stage of CCI development. Therefore, some questions arise and need to be solved: how could local governments introduce relevant policies? How to use CCI to optimize economic development?Thus, this paper firstly introduces the concepts, meanings and characteristic of CCI, based on developed regions within and outside China, and clarifies the classification catalog of Shandong CCI. From the perspective of whole and parts of sub-industries, this paper analyses the development status of CCI in Shandong through considering economic level, cultural resources, social environment and policies, also including the consideration of Grey Theory, where this paper researches the correlation of CCI and other industries so as to prove the possibilities of such correlation is large. Hence, it concludes that CCI has its value on Shandong industrial structure through Johansen Cointegration. Some suggestions will be introduced, such as Shandong Province should be developing CCI and constructing Evaluation Indicator System and so forth.Through the above analysis and empirical test, it is concluded that the cultural creativity industry in Shandong province can adjust and optimize the industrial structure and promote the healthy development of the economy. It points out that among the related factors affecting the development of CCI in Shandong province, the industry’s own development ability is the most important, followed by innovation and macro environment. Thus, in order to speed up the development of CCI in Shandong province, we should focus on specific industry orientation, development of creative industry cluster, and strengthen the management of intellectual property and the core competitiveness of the CCI, etc.
