As an important branch of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the One-to-one Chinese teaching has developed rapidly in recent years and has been widely used in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. However, due to the lack of relevant research and the teaching theory, the One-to-one Chinese teaching always have some problems. Firstly,this paper expounds the background, significance and the research status of the research of One-to-one Chinese teaching. Secondly, according to the Chinese teaching practice in the OSU project of Suzhou University,the careful observation, the in-depth understanding of the student and careful analysis on the process of teaching practice, I found some problems of the students, teachers and teaching materials: Learning time of student is too long to make student to study effectively.The study of student lack peer exchanges and competition.Teachers’ knowledge structure and ability structure need to be improved.It is difficult to write a textbook for teaching.Lastly, suggestions are proposed: Chinese teacher can use a variety of teaching methods.Teachers and students can learn from each other;.Improve the ability of teachers.Use textbooks flexibly. I hope this paper can inspire teachers who teach Chinese as a foreign language and improve the quality of my teaching.
