With the rapid development of economic globalization and internet, more and more foreign products flow through Chinese market though the Internet. As a result, the translation of English introduction of design products on the internet turns out to be more important. As such a text will be put on the Internet, the quality of its translation will greatly affects the click ratio, and thus influence the products’ production and sales.This report is based on the E-C translation of introduction of design products. It summarizes the difficulties in translation process, and gives effective methods to deal with them.There are five parts in this report. Part One gives a brief introduction of this translation project, including the background, objectives, significance of research and structure of the report; Part Two mainly introduces the source text as well as it’s linguistic features, and then reveals the requirements of the client; Part Three discusses the whole translation process from three basic steps:the pre-translational preparations, the translation process and after the translation. Part Four summarizes four great difficulties in the translation process, including the E-C translation of non-English names, products’names, titles and long sentences, and sums up effective methods to deal with these difficulties. Part Five is the conclusion of the translation project.
