The Research On The Improvement Of Social Support Network Of Day-care Service In Community-based Care For The Aged

The number of retirees in China today grows along with the come of rapidly aging population as well as the senility. The social security system and aged care and management, however, are still improving. Problems of increasingly pressure of social pension are supposed to be solved in modern times. Nowadays, as the institution endowment is far from satisfaction, stronger implementation of Home-based care which adapt to china’s national conditions for the aged is imperative.This article focuses on the day-care which are the Home-based care centers for the aged. We will, via questionnaire and professional interview, explore and have a comparative study of social support network construction in existing day-care based on the Yangjing Street and Kangqiao in Pudong District. These two day-care centers for the aged are very representative for us to research. We will find the main factors and characteristics of the social support network in day-care service now. Some experience good for reference and promotion or deficiencies need to be corrected of it will be found in this study and improvement measures and constructive suggestions will be given to contribute to the day-care and Home-based care for the aged in China.
