The last century, the rapid development of transgenic technology and expand intothe food sector, as the existing transgenic techniques can not clearly brought to therisks to human, and therefore add to identify genetically modified foods become themain trend of the international community. The author believes that special attentionshould be food safety supervision while transgenic technology development,prevention from the risks associated with consumer protection point of view toimplement mandatory labeling of genetically modified foods, through a clear specificrules and specific identification normative content to improve and perfect our GMfood labeling system.This paper is divided into five parts, the first part discusses the background andsignificance of the study,and explains the specific research content and researchmethods. The second part of the concept of genetically modified food and foodlabeling system were discussed,with the explicit data describes the development ofgenetically modified crops in the current situation,analyze the safety of geneticallymodified foods,and to safeguard the consumers right to know and the right to securitylevel discussion the significance of the food labeling system.The third part of the mainfocus of genetically modified food labeling system,run status and consumerawareness of the status of genetically modified foods and other aspects of the analysisof specific legislative carding status quo, based on the reality of the situation summedup the outstanding problems of genetically modified food labeling system exists,suchas the lack of specific regulations to adjust the regulatory body is not clear, etc, and tohighlight issues specific analysis shows.The fourth part describes the part ofdeveloped countries to regulate genetically modified food labeling specific to the U.S.,EU and Japan, for example,by describing the basic principles of the regulatory bodyand the specific legal norms,want to give our food labeling system for geneticallymodified to inspiration and reference.The fifth part was perfect and improve our foodlabeling system for genetically specific recommendations,the proposed regulationsand the development of relevant specialized management approach to defining thebasic principles of the regulatory body and the identification of specific norms andestablish relief system and recall system for supporting measures.
