Ecological migration is a project about population relocation, which purpose is to solve the problem of ecological environment and poverty. The essence of the ecological migration is to promote the coordinated development of population, resources, environment and economy by adjusting the relationship between human and nature. Ecological migration involves politics, economy, culture and other fields. In order to promote the project of ecological migration successfully, it is necessary to analysis and study from aspect of immigration culture, lifestyle, and living environment.This paper summarizes the current ecological immigrant project, pointing out that the ecological migrant project in China has improved the ecological environment, promoted the rural poverty alleviation and development, accelerated the process of urbanization, and promoted the development of ethnic minority areas. Meanwhile, there are still some problem existing in immigrants. Different cases of ecological migration have been studied in this paper. Among those cases, two different types of ecological migration are summed up, the urbanization development model focused on life and living and the industrialization development mode focused on business development. Based on above and combining the "The main functional area planning", a better ecological migration mode named "urbanization + industrialization" is put forward. Essential elements are analyzed to promote the sustainable development of China’s eco migration from two aspects of policy and substance. Specific opinions and suggestions in aspects of strategic planning, system safeguard, compensatory security and material guarantee are put forward, which promoting the sustainable development of ecological migration.
