The Practicing And Rethinking Of The Juris Master(Illegal) Education

There are three kinds of master of law in our country, including full-time master of law(law), a full-time master of law(illegal), and master of law on the job. This paper only involves the full-time master of law(illegal). Later in the paper, the full-time master of law(illegal) is all referred to as master of law. From 1996 to 2014, the professional degree education of law master’s has been 18 years. It is the result of the incremental refinement of modern society’s professional division and social division. For the reality of the legal profession in our country at present, setting up the professional degree of law master has the real need. We must carry on the reform of law education, because our law education is difficult to meet the social demand for legal talents. The education of law master is the important attempt to the reform of law education, and is also the review of the low education in our country. In the 18 years, we forward in the groping, and the professional degree education of law master is also in the constant revising and already grows up to a new training mode of legal talents in our country. We admit its major achievements, at the same time, we also should face the serious problems existing in the development of the professional degree education of law master. Based on the status, this paper puts forward some suggestions for problems of law master’s professional degree education in our country.The first part firstly elaborates the reason why our country set up the professional degree of law master and the value of its continued existence. Then locating law master’s education and points out its training goal is for vocational education and elite education make a contribution.As for the second part, firstly, expounds the present situation of Southwest university of political science and law from four aspects, including the choice of students, the set of curricula, the equipment of mentors and teaching methods. The training results of law master’s education summarized as two points, they don’t get favorable comments from society, as well as the students themselves. And they are all due to the law education environment.The third part discusses the problems existing in the law master education, including that all resources do not meet training conditions, law master’s being marginalized, unreasonable curricula, practical course is not in place, lack of effective evaluation mechanism, failed to form complex advantage.The fourth part give some opinions of recruitment methods, career planning curriculum, teaching methods, tutor, practice, for the problem of Master of Laws Degree. hoping they can exert their profession superiority to be compound and application type person.
