Ideological and political education, as a kind of special human activity, has animportant role in human society; it is directly related to the stability, prosperity andquality of the formation of people’s social and moral state. The development ofideological and political education needs new requirements. Therefore, we shouldexplore a new path of ideological and political education.In order to expand the new aspect to develop ideological and politicaleducation, we should first start with the ideological and political education itself tofind its problems, and then discover a new view to develop ideological and politicaleducation while treating solving problems as the starting point. The ideological andpolitical education at this stage has the following problems:1.the limitations of thesubject of education;2. the missing content;3.the extreme single form;4.the simplicityof the development path;5. The limitations of the theoretical studies. Therefore, theresearch paradigm on the ideological and political education requires to betransformed.Based on the fully understanding of enlightenment, we can find that the body ofenlightenment is not only the government, but also the general public of all membersof the society; enlightenment has unique cultural and ethnic characteristics;enlightenment has invariousforms, including implicit education, mutual influencebetween reasons and emotions; the enlightenment advocates a universal participationmodel. These characteristics of enlightenment point out a way for the ideological andpolitical education in the study of meta theory, and simultaneously point out thedirection for the ideological and political education research paradigm transformation,so as to expand the ideological and political education research to a broader aspect.The transformation of the ideological and political education research paradigmshould expand the scope of ideological and political education research, thecultivation of the content of human feelings, in the other words, introducing moralconscience, aesthetic and humanistic care to the contents of ideological and political education. Meanwhile, as the ideological and political “education” activity is a specialhuman activity, it has to be taken in a certain time and space..The efficiency andeffectiveness of the education is determined by where and when the education to betaken. Therefore the ideological and political “education” time and space should beused as a new category of ideological and political education research.Because of the intense color of the ideological and political education andpolitical moment, the lack of awareness of the civilian population, the ideological andpolitical education is out of the reality of life itself, and difficult for the public toobtain the sense of identity. Therefore, a paradigm transformation needs to find its realcarrier, in order to provide the end-of life for the ideological and political educationand to improve their effectiveness. Therefore, the research of ideological and politicaleducation should include symbols, rituals, and public discourse space.
