The Research On Urban Old-caring Service Under The Background Of Aging Population

According to the general international criteria of the classification, in2000, China hadformally entered the ranks of the aging of the population state. Compared with other countries,China’s aging population not only showed a large base, fast speed, aging before rich features tothe old, but also marked regional heterogeneity. With the aging population in China isaccelerating, the pension problems associated with gradually and caused people’s attention. Inour current social environment, family pension, endowment institutions and communityproviding for the aged is the basic formations.But with the rapid growth of the elderlypopulation, the elderly dependency ratio of population increasing, economy society is facingincreasing burden, the traditional pension mode is not enough to take the aging of populationin China with the pension burden background.In this background, it is urgent to compare all those kinds of old-age service system,trying to find one that suits our city more than others. It should be one that focusing its core onindividual home for old-age care, based on its community, by integrating families,communities, government and social forces with all their resources, to provide a better servicefor the aged ones. It is also a mode that adapts itself to the rapid development of socialcircumstance, provides a better cover for the old people, substantially and mentally, andbecomes more and more important in our old-care system.This paper analysis the research achievements in the past, and combines with the relevantstatistical data of the present situation of the aging of the population. We also try to give thereason why pension issue has become increasingly serious compared and analyzed severalexisting pension mode in China with its advantages and disadvantages.We introduce thehome-caring service as a new pension model. Taking Nanjing city as an example, by make visitings and questionnaire, we collect the first-hand data to study the current situation inNanjing City old-care system for its deficiencies and the development path. At last, we try toprovide some useful policy suggestions for perfecting the current pension system under thebackground of the aging of the population.
