The Study On The Mode Of Old-age Care In China Urban Community

Community support, which lies between family support and social institute support, is a new means of caring for the old people by utilizing community resources. As it has gained an increasing credibility for absorbing advantages of family support and institute support, the community support has become an effective way to cope with the challenge of aging problem. However, the development practice of our country’s mode of supporting the old people still remains scattered and related researches are merely carried out around successful experience of certain regions, besises, relative research perspectives are not systematic. It is of great theoretical and practical significance that how to push community support service toward systematic development through theoretical research.It is important to combed and analysis the foreign and domestic research for the thought of this paper. First of all, summarized the community support at the present time. There are including three modes:government-led, cooperative type and elderly assistance; Then, abstracted three perspectives which have been focused by the scholar in the process of community support’s choosing and developing, including the actor in community support, the demand conditions of the aged in community and social resource as the provider, target and medium of community support. They are have huge influence on the community support in different fields. The typological based analysis method that makes the three to a united analysis frame and constructs an ideal community support type, makes a thorough inquiry to the difference of the three community support type respectively.Meanwhile, based on contrastive analysis on many cases, it has been concluded that the best mode of community support which doesn’t exist is not worth pursuing, and corresponding development modes should be chosen according to different community conditions, which will not only promote a high-efficient and sound development of old-age care affairs but also create various features of community support. Finally, based on document arrangement and case analysis, and from the three perspectives of coordinating service supply subject, studying different requirements of old-age care and optimizing and integrating community resources, I put forward some specific suggestions on driving the community support work.
