Research On Natural Disaster Emergency Relief Of China

China is one of the few countries suffering from the world’s worst natural disasters with the high frequency of occurrence and wide geographic distribution,which resulting in large losses. Frequent occurrence of natural disasters not only cause a large number of casualties, but also caused damage of production, both of which are one of the biggest causes of social unrest. Our party and the government accumulated much effective experience in natural disaster emergency relief in the long struggle with the natural disasters, formulated a series of policies, and initially established a work system of natural disaster emergency relief. However, our current level of natural disasters emergency relief is still far from being suited to the actual development of China’s natural disaster relief, and exists big gap from emergency rescue ability and level of developed countries. Faced with the trend of development,a series of natural disasters and its impact on social life, we need dealing with our urgent problems about how to establish effective natural disaster emergency relief system in the political stability and economic development background, abort how to improve and perfect natural disaster emergency relief system in the shortest time.This study, firstly demonstrate research background of China’s natural disaster emergency relief, significance and research methods through literature review of emergency relief to natural disasters at home and abroad, and the construction of natural disaster emergency aid contents and methods; secondly a brief introduction to natural disasters theories and concepts of emergency relief; thirdly catch up with suggestions to improve our natural disaster emergency relief from the current situation of natural disaster emergency relief by focusing on analysis of the current natural disaster emergency relief, demonstrating the analysis of the problems and their causes, and reasonably drawing unique experience of disasters of the United States,Australia, and Japan to handle natural emergency relief.
