Rural Social Work Intervention On Social Isolation Of Left-behind Elderly

With the acceleration of rural social transformation and rural social changes, population ageing, nuclear families, small scale, and changes of the values, further exacerbating the difficult to obtain resource endowment for rural left-behind elderly, facing many challenges of pension for the rural left-behind elderly, and they gradually appear "social alienation" phenomenon. Due to the continuing influence of urbanization and industrialization, rural labor force will continue to flow to the urban areas, a large number of rural population drift city behind, but hidden rural left-behind elderly, they cannot find the words to suit social isolation and loneliness. But at present our country social security system is still not perfect, to the rural left-behind elderly’s old age service and supply ability is very limited. Therefore, in rural labor force is shifting to the city constantly, the speed of population aging is accelerated day by day and the size of the elderly population has a huge situation, how to from the perspective of social work of specific intervention strategies proposed, to effectively solve the social isolation problems of rural left-behind elderly will become perfect China’s elderly population in the rural pension system is facing an important issue.This paper on the social isolation of rural left-behind elderly in-depth study, and starting from the perspective of social work, put forward the specific strategies of intervention, in order to provide the valuable research data and experience reference for future social work study.This research mainly adopts the sociological field research method in field investigation of micro community, using questionnaire investigation, depth interview and field observation method, data collection and data acquisition, selects the rural left-behind elderly, non rural left-behind elderly and related groups as the research object, using analysis pattern of " problem-demand", the current situation of the rural left-behind elder’s social alienation was investigated, and from the individual level, family level and the community level, the social alienation of the left-behind elderly was analyzed.Starting from the left-behind elderly people for their own reasons, gender, education severity and physical health status will influence on the left-behind elderly’s social alienation; starting from external causes are mainly two: the first is family factors, such as family income, marital status, whether with children living with; the second is factors of community, whether to provide public health services, and neighbor relationship will influence on the left behind elderly’s social isolation. Immediately after, this study to demand stratification theory and resilience theory as the starting point, the combination of case work and group work intervention on social alienation of rural left-behind elderly to intervene, and found social work intervention in social alienation of the left-behind elderly has advantages, focus on enhancing the service ability of self, reconstruction of family and social support system, provide multi angle of service for clients.
