| Space is familiar to us as a physical being. However, from the social historic point of view, space was researched in the city sociology in the beginning of 1960 s. City is the carrier of human’s civilization, and urbanization is the basic characteristic of social organization and living style. The industry revolution leaded the city’s change, city space is involved the loop of production.To fit the demand of capital growing, more space and production space was occupied by capital and all of the city space were marked by the capital sign, which make the city space to be a kind of production factor and also the sign of capital. City space fully dropped to the being of capital and the important tool of capital accumulation as well so far. During the city space closing to the capital accumulation, urbanization and city space were developed quickly; on the other hand, with the quickly urbanization, we also meet more and more serious city-alienation when we are enjoying the city civilization, whose obvious characteristic is more critical city space homogenization.In historical materialism view trial homogeneity phenomenon of the development of the city, on the one hand, should see the necessity for the development of urban homogeneity which is consistent with capitalist development logic; on the other hand also want to see the history of the development of urban homogeneity narrowness, realize the transcendence of the history of the development of urban homogeneity is the fundamental value orientation of urban development. In modern times due to the necessity of the capitalist development still exist, therefore does not yet have the ultimate transcendence and eliminate the historical condition of the development of urban homogeneity. But the construction of contemporary urban space should be value concept as a guide, in constructing the harmonious and healthy development of the urban space of creation, accumulation conditions, at the same time as the ultimate beyond urban homogeneity. |
