Township, located in the frontier of" issues concerning agriculture ", is the bridge for the party and government to maintain close ties with the masses. Township civil servants shoulder heavy responsibilities of comprehensively implementing the Party’s principles and policies in rural areas, promoting the economic development and maintaining social stability.How to solve issues in the construction of township civil servants as well as to further strengthen the team building is central to the social reform development and stability of rural areas, which matter the realization of building a well-off society in an all-round way. As an important part of the construction of township civil servants, establishing and optimizing the motivation mechanism of township civil servants, is playing fundamental and crucial role in ensuring the healthy operation and development of township civil servants.This paper have investigated and analyzed the issues of the motivation mechanism for township civil servants of A county from actual conditions by adopting normative analysis, survey research method, literature review and theory with practice. This paper contains five parts:the first part describes the background and significance of motivation mechanism of township civil servants, analyzes the current domestic research on this topic and finally proposes the research ideas and methods; the second part illustrates the related concepts of motivation mechanism of township civil servants, and summarizes the related motivation theory;The third part, through questionnaire survey, analyzes the actual situation of the motivation mechanism in A county from the aspect of evaluation of performance, cultivation, reward, promotion, wages and benefits. It points out the shortages in the implementation of motivation mechanism, which results in the instability of township civil servant, the lack of ability and being neglectful of the duty. Finally the cause for this is illustrated from the five aspects mentioned above combined with the conception of motivation mechanism and its way of implementation; The fourth part, according to the analysis of the cause, proposes the three principles for the motivation mechanism of township civil servant. In addition, it puts forward suggestions on the transformation of traditional concept, the optimization of the motivation mechanism system and the innovation of the operation in township;The fifth part, conclusion.
