Nowadays, the topic of genetically modified food becomes more and more hot. Genetically modified food debate of Fang Zhouzi and Cui Yongyuan cause my interest of GMF. What is genetically modified food? Is genetically modified food safe or not? What is the government regulation of genetically modified food? Is there any problem in it? What about American GMF regulation? What can we learn from theirs? With all the problems, I began to study the administrative regulation of genetically modified food.In the introduction part, the article elaborates the connotation, the historical development and the advantages of genetically modified food. Then, the first chapter discusses the safety of genetically modified food. The conclusion is scientists believe that GM food is safe, but there are still potential dangers of GM food. Only good regulatory mechanism can appease public concerns. The second chapter describes the GM food existing regulations as well as the problems. In the next chapter, the author describes the US GM food regulation system and identification system. At last, inspired by the United States of genetically modified food regulatory system, the author made several bold suggestions of our administrative regulation of genetically modified food.
