Improvement Of Community Service In Mentougou Urban Management

Since the 90 s of last century, urban management and construction has many new problems with the rapid development of economy and society. The government enacted the “Administrative Punishment Law” at 1996, which put forward the relative concentrated administrative punishment. After that, the urban administrate authorities officially established. Due to the mechanism system is not perfect, functions defined in chaos, object of law enforcement mostly the bottom of the masses, law enforcement is relatively single, and the gap between law enforcement goals and objectives of the citizens living, it led to an inevitable conflict. Coupled with poor guide and malicious hype of the media, the work of urban management come into a corner. To reverse this situation, in recent years, local urban management department focus on changing work style, into the community, people-oriented, flexible enforcement and carrying out extensive community service work.Mentougou district urban management on the basis of analysis and summary in recent years community service, carry out the a series of innovative community law enforcement, propaganda, law popularization and other related services. These practices help people understanding the contents, process and the meaning of urban management deeply. And then they will understand, recognize, accept and support urban management.This paper is based on previous research experience, combined with the regional characteristics of Mentougou and the public relations of urban management department. It reviews the urban management community service work by taking the questionnaire survey, empirical research, interviews and other methods. After the analysis and assessment of the improved community service work in Mentougou, we get the conclusion that it has important significance to improve the efficiency of urban management, the public satisfaction and the public image of urban management by deepen urban management community service activities. In the end, this paper analysis the experiences and lessons learned in the urban community service objectively, and make recommendations for future community service work.
