Since the beginning of the new century, countries in the world all take education reform as an important means to enhance national competitiveness and effective path. The new curriculum reform is an important part of education system reform in China. As the preparatory phase of higher education, high school curriculum reform is success or failure that decides to the quality of talents for higher education. With the rapid development of Chinese political, economic and culture, the current high school curriculum system set up and evaluation system increasingly don’t meet the actual needs of the community. New high school curriculum reform has become the focus of education reform in China. South Korea and China belong to the Han culture system, so there are many similarities in educational thought, educational purposes, and educational patterns. From the foundation of the countries in1949, in60years, China has endured8curriculum reforms and Korea has endured7. Therefore. in many ways they ale alike. Especially over the past decade, China and South Korea all take a series of reform measures for high school the new curriculum, and achieved very good results.A country want to be prosperous, he should accept new ideas and matter from other countries. Imitation of advanced countries is one of the right ways to be advanced. Comparing and analyzing the same aspect with other countries, we can know what to learn and to learn pertinently. This is also one of the strategies of country development. Education is one of the important proportion of a country, as one of the important indexes to judge a country, still can not get rat of this rule. Comparative education studies many educational aspects of a country, such as education ideas, education curriculum, education policy, education system and compare with other countries in the same aspects, collect useful information and analysis to learn the things you need to learn. That is according to the international comparative research result to absorb the better and adjust the worse.In this paper, background, purpose and content of the high school new curriculum reform between China and South Korea were discussed, including Curriculum setting, textbook reform, college entrance examination policy, evaluation of reform and so on. Analysis the advantages and disadvantages in two countries curriculum reforms to summarize some of the education reform rule with the actual situation in two countries and provide the some useful experience and suggestions to the education policy—makers.
