With the economical globalization and the speeding-up integrated tendency, theworld communicates more frequently and the competition of international talentbecomes increasingly fierce. Governments around the world, universities and societyare showing a growing concern on international students’ education.To develop international students’ education will bring enormouseconomic benefits to the country, and help the universities to accelerate the process ofinternationalization. Besides, it is also an effective mode to attract high quality overseastalents, and to enhance the comprehensive national power. Therefore, theChinese Ministry of Education has presented that,“by the end of2020, the number ofinternational students should reach to500,000, and make China become the mostpopular Asian destination country for international students”.Although the number of international students in Chongqing has increased year byyear, compared with other municipalities, the scale of foreign students is still small. It’svery urgent and important to further increase international student numbers, and to buildup the most effective policies and efficient marketing strategies.The framework of this research is as follows:Part one, introduces the research background, research values, research status athome and abroad, research methods and related concepts definition.Part two, give a broad view of the current situation of international student’seducation of Chongqing by referring to historical data, analyzing of the universities casestudy, conducting questionnaire among foreign students in Chongqing.Part three, based on the research above, this part analyzes the existing problems offoreign students’ education of the colleges and universities in Chongqing.Part four, a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, opportunities and threatens) analysisfor developing international student’s education in Chongqing.Part five, provides countermeasures of international students’ education forChongqing governmental departments and universities.
