As people say”Reading Life Begin With Literacy”, literacy is a key to open thethought world. Literacy teaching is the stepping stone of Chinese education even the wholebasic education.But there are so many problems in the current literacy teaching that it urgently needsto be improved. The main problems are ignored the scientific laws, monotonous teachingmethods and wrong characters abound. The main reasons for these problems arehuge-complicated Chinese characters system, naive-vulnerable students psychological, andblind-improper teaching methods. Against this background, the author comb the literacyteaching history, and put forward two principles that teaching Chinese characters should befollowed. The two principles are formation rules of Chinese characters (especially shouldpay attention to motivation and systemic of Chinese characters) and cognitivecharacteristics of Children.In particular, basic Chinese characters discussed in this paper are”The Basic WordTable Of Literacy and Writing Teaching” which stems from “The Standard Of ChineseCourse in Compulsory Education” that promulgated by the ministry of education in2011.And this table suggested that the ministry of education has committed to improve theliteracy teaching present situation. Development of this table, mainly following the guidingideology that Chinese characters of diminishing rate, and considering three principles,namely the frequency and coverage of Chinese characters, mental lexicon of Children,word frequency of Chinese characters. In order to make the readers have a morecomprehensive understanding of the word table, this paper analyses the Chinese charactersin the table in detail, and lists the Chinese characters analysis table ofpronunciation-shape-meaning analysis.Embrace the center for the study, namely literacy teaching, this paper introducesteaching methods that suitable for learn the basic Chinese characters firstly. Based on this,according as motivation, interest and association which are three characteristics of Chinese characters, in the “theory-application-methods advantage” format radically classify theliteracy methods. In other words, classify the methods of literacy into three types, one typehas two specific methods, such as the word science literacy includes zi-li literacy andbu-shou-gui-lei literacy, the word fun literacy includes zi-mi literacy and li-ti-jie-gouliteracy, the word association literacy includes ke-xue-fen-lei literacy and zi-ci-kuo-sanliteracy. The purpose of classification is let the rich literacy teaching theory serve for thegiven Chinese characters.Writing this paper, the author mainly use the screening methods, the statisticalreaserch method, the comparative analysis method, the classified research method,inductive synthesis method and so on.The target of this paper is to guide teachers in teaching practice with specific teachingmethods used in teaching based Chinese characters, to improve the students’ literacy skillwith teaching students learing methods, in the end, to open a new direction of literacyteaching research with the actual research of specific Chinese characters.
