In this paper, the latest history textbook as the study project, the Boxer Rebellion asthe starting point for the high school history to analyze the tardiness of history textbooks,in order to help absorb new achievements in history research. Its body consists of sixchapters.Chapter one introduces the research aim of this paper, analyses the importance ofhistory textbooks in history teaching, summarizes the innovation and writing ideas.Chapter two compares the Boxer Rebellion in four editions high school historytextbooks. Four high school history textbooks is the latest version of the history textbookafter the curriculum reform, by comparing the history textbooks can help us to understandit. This part is the comparative analysis of the four editions high school history textbooksabout Boxer Rebellion, mainly from the system and the different of the text system. Thischapter also analysis the writing pattern and their characteristics about Boxer Rebellion inthe four editions history textbooks. Four versions of high school history textbook on theBoxer Rebellion all have their own characteristics, but the tardiness of its absorbtion ofnew achievements in history research still existed.Chapter three discusses the tardiness of history textbooks in absorbing newachievements in history research about Boxer Rebellion. In the current high school historytextbook, the improper expressions about Missionary case, The boxer origin, The EightPower Allied forces invaded China can be illustrated to the tardiness of its absorbtion ofnew achievements in history research.Chapter four analyzes the reasons of the tardiness of high school history textbooks inabsorbing of new achievements in history research,such as the contraction between theconstant development of history research and relative stability of high school historytextbooks,less competition mechanism about press and the restriction of the test system.Chapter five put some measures to handle this problem.There are four aspects tosolve the situation. Firstly, stick to the assimilation principles.Secondly, strengthenthe press competitiveness.Thirdly, learn advanced experience and technology form the developed area and Make full use of modern means of science and technology.Last but notleast, teachers should exert their dominant actions in class, to lead students to from correcthistorical viewpoint.Chapter six introduces the principle about absorbing of new achievements in historyresearch. In the first place, historical materialism is the fundamental principle.Secondly,we must insist on to assimilate new mature achievement. Based on the principles above,hoping this article can give some help on writing textbooks and promote my ideas ofeducation and teaching.
