Under the background of the new course reform, the textbooks of Historyand Politics for senior high schools overlap in some way. And there are studentsmisunderstanding some historical concepts. For better History teaching,this paperaims to find the combination between the two.As different branches of socialsciences, History and Politics teaching have different aims. For High SchoolHistory teaching, its aims are:1. to introduce basic historical knowledge,2. todevelop students’ intelligence and ability,3. to carry on traditional Chinese cultureand spirit. However, Politics teaching aims at:1. the moral education of Chineseyouths,2. building up correct views on values and sense of right and wrong,3.serving social life. By studying related researches in recent years at home and abroad,combing the shortcomings of current History teaching with the writer’s years ofteaching experience, This paper integrates History and Politics textbooks ofPeople’s Publishing House and explains some teaching cases to demonstrate thefeasibility of introducing Political knowledge in High School History teaching andprovide some information for History teaching.The study is mainly composed of five sections:Section one: General design of the study, it covers the significance, method andquestions of the study.Section two: Analysis of the relationship between Political knowledge, conceptand High School History teaching. This part focuses on the necessity and principlesof applying Political Knowledge in High School History teaching.Section three: Organizing the political knowledge in High school Historytextbooks. This section is about combining The Course Standard of High SchoolHistory with the History and Politics textbooks of People’s Publishing House, aswell as organizing the political knowledge related to High School History teachingfrom the aspects of Philosophy, Politics and Economics.Section four: Explaining the application of Political knowledge in HighSchool History teaching with real cases, it is illustrated from both theaspect of History teaching and test paper reviewing.Section five: Conclusions, in this part the writer conclude the basicpoints of the study and propose that we should pay attention to in theapplication of Political knowledge in High School History teaching.
