With the development of society and change of times,our governmentproposes to cultivate innovative high-quality talents in this new all-aspectcompetition. The cultivation of talent depends on education and the development ofinnovation is based on emotional education. New curriculum reform has pointed outdirections of education,namely,more attention be paid to students’ feelings andtheir emotional lives.For a long time,we lay much emphasis on cognitive education in teachingprocess but little is paid to emotional education,which is indispensable in talentcultivation. As a matter of fact,emotional education and cognitive education are twoimportant parts of education process, which are interrelated and mutuallyreinforcing,making lessons effective and students well developed.This paper consists of five chapters. Chapter one gives an introduction of thebeginning,purposes and values of the subject,as well as research methods,majorcontents and creativities at home and abroad,explains the backgrounds and valuesof this paper. Based on pedagogy,psychology,brain science and definition ofemotional education,chapter two carries out deep research on theoretical basis ofimplementation of emotional education in history lesson in senior high school.Chapter three compares and analyzes the data getting from the survey among seniorhigh school art students on present situation of emotional education carried out inhistory lesson and the interview with history teachers,therefore finds out specificproblems and figures out the reasons. After years of professional art training,artstudents tend to be more exquisite and delicate than common students,makingimplementation of emotional education in history lesson practicable and necessary,as well as valuing their cognitive development. Based on the study and comparativeanalysis of educational cases,chapter four gives a conclusion that according with thecognitive features of art students,emotional education can motivate their interest inlearning history and make them confident. It can not only take advantage ofstrongpoint of art students to enhance their learning efficiency and develop professionally and creatively,but also play a critical role in their development ofmentality,personality and quality. Chapter five sums up successful experience as wellas weakness and proposes suggestions for further improvement.Being one of humanity subjects,history carries forward and propagates ourcivilization,which gives it a decided advantage in carrying out emotional education.The implementation of emotional education for art students in history lesson ispracticable and indispensable. It accords with the demand of talent cultivation.Author wishes to provide advice and assistance to those history teachers facing thesame situation,and make contribution to further research.
