| According to the Chinese teaching to Chinese learners who don’t have theChinese-character cultural background, the problem of dealing with the relationsbetween teaching of spoken Chinese and Chinese characters should be taken seriouslyattention; the problem is also taken seriously attention in the teaching research fields,especially the teachers who have enough Chinese teaching experiences to foreigners.There are two propositions to this problem: one proposition is Simultaneouslyteaching between spoken Chinese and Chinese characters, another proposition isSeparately teaching between spoken Chinese and Chinese characters. There are manyresearchers who have done a lot of work according to this two different teachingmethods, there are also some teachers who have attempted to do something new, but itis difficult to tell which of these two methods is much more better than another. It iswell known that the study of Chinese characters is obstacle to foreign students; lots ofoverseas students give up studying Chinese because of the difficulties of Chinesecharacters. It is the key problem for dealing with the relations between teaching ofspoken Chinese and Chinese characters.At present, Chinese teaching fields in China generally use the first teachingmethod——Simultaneously teaching between spoken Chinese and Chinese characters,another teaching method——Separately teaching between spoken Chinese andChinese characters is also attempted, but nearly no effect.This paper is doing two empirical researches to the Thailand students ofPhukhieo School who are from Class1Grade1and Class2Grade1. Class1Grade1students are carrying out the first teaching model; Class2Grade1students arecarrying out the second teaching model. The duration of the research is more than4months (one semester), this paper has summarized by contrasting the examinationscore of their listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities, the conclusion is thatduring the elementary Chinese teaching, according to the Thailand students who don’thave the Chinese characters cultural background, the teaching model——Separately teaching between spoken Chinese and Chinese characters is better than the teachingmodel——Simultaneously teaching between spoken Chinese and Chinese characters. |
