The rapid development of modern society has put forward higher requirements for personnel,training of personnel is inseparable from education. In order to adapt to the development of the times, lotsof countries carried out educational reform, aimed at quality education. China started the eighth curriculumrevolution, which inevitably lead to the reform of the college entrance examination. In2003, China carriedout the reform of the college entrance examination, and it has been fully implemented since2008. With thefast development of the course and college entrance examination reform, every senior middle schoolgeography teacher should consider what specific changes have taken place in the social requirements of thehigh school geography education and how to cope with the changes.Collage entrance examination is not only the primary method for colleges and universities toselect personnel but also the main assessment method for high school geography teaching. Collage entranceexamination is a mean to implement the unified national curriculum standards nationwide, so in someextent geography Entrance Examination reflects the specific requirements of the geography curriculumstandards for teaching and evaluation and has significant guiding role for high school geography teaching.Therefore, in this paper, we studied the trend of Entrance examination questions about geography andexcepted to sum up the feature of the college entrance examination and put forward material suggestion forGeography teaching of high school.This paper is on the basis of quality education theory, Constructivist learning theory and multipleintelligence theory. It researches on the13geographical examination papers adopted by the CollegeEntrance Examinations from2009to2013five-year period, from questions of structure and content of theexamination and assessment objectives these three areas, and the ways and methods include literatureanalytic method, development analytic method, statistical analysis method and comparative method. Theexercise structure is stable, the test structure and the score distribution of the new curriculum standardpapers are more reasonable.The proportion of science comprehensive test increases. The average score ofcomprehensive questions reduce. The new curriculum standard papers added elective module.Classify items of the knowledge and make a count on each class in statistical analysis method,and find that the proportion of physical geography is slightly higher than human geography and the combination of the two study trend is more obvious. The combinations are most the resources andenvironment issues, regional industry development analysis, rivers etc. They are comprehensive and haveclose link with our life. The area type is complex and diverse, the main examine form is combination withcharts, aimed at comprehensive analysis, the regional climate characteristics and the regional industrialdevelopment are the main contents. The two dimensions of the content and the understanding level in thetest content and the new geography curriculum standard are compared using the Potter consistency analysismethod. The overall consistency is poor, mainly due to that the level of understanding of the collegeentrance examination is higher than geography curriculum standards, and the content coverage of thecollege entrance examination is low, mainly focused on that three part natural environment of the motion ofmatter and energy exchange, production activities and regional relations and regional sustainabledevelopment. Acquisition and interpretation of geographic information is mainly on the study of ChartReading and gradually mining for related information. Mobilizing and using geography knowledge mainlyemphasizes on accurately linking to related knowledge in multi angle. Describing and explaining thegeographic objects terms concern about the specification language. The proof and study geography is oninnovation and practice ability.Four features was summarized of geographic College Entrance Examinations from2009to2013:the tests lay more attention to basic knowledge and main knowledge; the tests are more flexible; questionsshow more subject characteristics; questions are more open and tests point more attention on learningprocess,Combined with the analysis of the exercise structure, exam content and assessment objectives.Finally, teaching suggestions in view of the test characteristics were proposed: the teachers should correctlyunderstand the college entrance examination; teachers should define the inspection key, and have a definiteobject in view of teaching; teachers should encourage students to analyze; teachers should strengthen thetraining of students’ ability of solving problems.
