The Study About Promoting Non-profit Organizations Grew Up From The Strengths Perspective In Social Work

Abstract:This survey based on the investigation of The changsha breeding ground for social organization, the investigator selected five non-profit organizations underling services as this case study’s objects. Analyzed non-profit organizations’inside and outside environment, including the outside environment for growing up in today’s society, and non-profit organization’s own internal environment; found out theirs characteristics and the growth trouble; checked out weather social work underling the guidance of the Strengths Perspective works,then explored the appropriate way about how to help non-profit organizations to be mature. Specifically, this paper attempts to answer the following two questions:what are the non-profit organizations’environment and growth dilemma; what should social work do to help non-profit organizations in effective breakthrough the dilemma and finished the growing transition.The author used case study method and took advantage of internship opportunities, worked together with partners for professional social work, five non-profit organizations are the objects of work and case study. Then, as a researcher, author collected relevant information and concluded the research findings via different research methods such as interviews, questionnaires and so on.The research found that non-profit organizations are living in a" System of dual control" legal situation, living in the policy environment that the development is encouraged by The party and government, living in the more and more be recognized by the social environment. Immature nonprofit usually without registration, facing with a variety of difficulty, but having their own advantages and existence reasons, and needing a variety of supporting force to help. Start-up non-profit organizations are facing a series of difficulties:the lack of material resources and human resources, it urgently needs to improve management ability and professional business level; the lack of social support networks, the weakness of mobilizes social resources; the low social credibility and so on. It is the right way to promoting non-profit organizations grew up by using the Strengths Perspective in social work, social workers from these a few aspects:helping relations, benefits evaluation, target and plan, access to community resources to help them, by helping to access to material help, to supervise director, team communication and team activities, lead the organization to carry out activities those a series of efforts, effectively helped nonprofits to build up confidence, meet the requirements and improve abilities. Eventually help them solving the growth difficult, and being mature and independent.
