Inquiry teaching was proposed based on scientific inquiry and receives wide attention in the practical teaching process. It is a kind of teaching method that give priority to students’independent inquiry. To what degree can students inquire and how should teachers design their teaching both need to be based on students’actual ability. Therefore, this essay, through making surveys of students’multiple intelligence, has found that students’intelligence has the following characteristics: there are significant differences between boy students and girl students in their verbal-linguistic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, musical-rhythmic intelligence and there are no significant differences in their visual-spatial intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence and naturalist intelligence. There are intelligence differences between different classes and differences of academic performances between different subjects, but there are no significant relations between the two. Through qualitative analysis, this easy combines physics inquiry teaching and research findings of multi-intelligence, and then come up with the following:physics inquiry teaching needs to attach importance to logical-mathematical intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, visual-spatial intelligence, naturalist intelligence as well as combining other intelligence, with an effort to put forward some methods, guidance and ideas for the effective implementation of physics inquiry teaching with the combination of quantitative research and qualitative analysis.
