A new round of teaching reform of basic education in the classroom is being carried out warmly and widely."Small class teaching","Go to class in the form of classes" and "Hierarchical teaching strategies" are becoming the keywords in the reforming process. They not only show their strong vitality, but also reflect the new situation and the new era of education. In the "Small class teaching", student-centered teaching model is emphasized, and student-based education is stressed. The emergence of this teaching form is undoubtedly a manifestation of social progress, an inevitable result of the opening up policy and a product of economic development. Meanwhile, it is an outcome of the cooperative efforts of families,s chools and the whole society.Shenyang No.30Middle School is a key senior high school and is also a top school in its Suburbs Consortium. Since2006, the school has been exploring the small class teaching. As a Chinese teacher, I have been devoted to the research in "Small class teaching", and putting the reform into practice continuously. The School leadership and teachers all are dedicated to researching the advantages of small class teaching, and exploring the significance of cooperation. So far, some progress has been made in the preliminary practice.This new mode of teaching inspires me all the time, making me understand "small class teaching" further. By constantly reading books and educational papers on small class teaching and based on the experience I have got as a Chinese teacher, I compare the learning characteristics of all the students I have taught, and get a new perspective of education in this essay.This essay analyses the Chinese teaching strategies in small class from three aspects. On one hand, the essay clarifies the theoretical basis of language teaching in small classes of high school, on the other hand, according to the current situation in No.30Middle School, the essay states the present teaching situation in small class teaching, and discusses some problems, such as:the "double-base" relationship, the cooperation among students and "cooperative learning" inefficiency. By learning theoretical knowledge and collecting the data received in the form of the questionnaire, the author attempts to discuss how to deal with the relationship between teaches and students, and how to adopt a variety of language teaching strategies in small classes. In the essay, the author will state these things from the aspects of teachers, students and the brother schools. Meanwhile, the author will list out practical examples while discussing these problems. In the small class teaching, as a teacher, I am a cutting-edge practitioner, and an active explorer. I sincerely hope that by analyzing, processing, and retouching, the theoretical basis, characteristics and advantages of small class teaching, as well as teacher-led content status and the dominant position of students and so on can be stated clearly. So that small class teaching can be promoted to further development. More important, it can guide me to carry out Chinese teaching to the best.
