Homework is a component part of Chinese textbook, and it is also further extension and expansion ofthe textbook content. It is an important link of teaching and learning in junior high school. It is toconsolidate the knowledge what students have learned, and transform the learned knowledge into ability orapply them in practice. Homework is an effective way to develop the students’ intelligence and enhancetheir overall quality. At the same time, it is also an effective means that the teacher uses to check his orher teaching efficiency and students learning efficiency.After the New Curriculum Standard carrying out, the educational thinking and innovational strategiesinfluence our ideas about the design of evaluating homework in Chinese. But there are still someproblems: In the design of homework in junior middle school, the amount of homework is large, and thestudents’ learning burden is heavy. The form of homework is mainly in the textbook content, and it issimple and mechanical. It is also far away from the students’ real life. Most of the homework is finishedby students themselves in written form, and it is lack of the quality of comprehensive and cooperation. Allthese finally cause the student’s brain thinking ability, their interests and hobbies are being exploited. Theoptimization of homework design is the requirement of time and science developing. It is also thenecessary requirement for students’ individual development and Chinese educational targets.In the background of the New Curriculum, the author takes the progressive idea and experience in thedesign of Chinese homework. The author analyzes the situation of Chinese homework in junior middleschool from the inheritance and innovation of extracurricular homework. Then the author summarizesreasons about the situation. The author combines with the practice of her own design work in the NewCurriculum standard guidance, and expatiates on the meaning of Chinese homework design. This studypoints out the general principles of the design of homework, and puts forward specific measures forimprovement. The author tries to analyze the present situation of Chinese homework arrangement. It breaksthrough the traditional mode of operation, and puts forward to optimize the general principles andconcrete method of junior middle school Chinese homework design, to increase the validity of Chinesehomework design in junior middle school. This research mainly uses the literature review method, comparative research method and surveymethod. According to the development of students’ cognitive thinking characteristics and the physical andpsychological characteristics in junior middle school, the author puts forward the five basic principles ofChinese homework design in junior middle school. They are the autonomy principle, open principle,humanistic principle, innovative principle and interest principle. At the same time, on the basis of these fiveprinciples, the author puts forward some concrete methods to optimize Chinese homework from thecharacter, directions, component, difficulty, forms, and other aspects. The author also illustratessome examples in the teaching process, and combines theories with practice, to make the optimization ofhomework design more comprehensive and specific.
