Teachers are the foundation of education.The quality of teachers determines the quality of education.In the process of the new curriculum reform,the middle school geography curriculum continuously strengthens the political geography education,and the improvement of the political geography literacy of the middle school geography teachers has become an urgent problem at present.This paper adopts the methods of literature research,expert consultation,examination paper analysis,classroom observation and questionnaire survey,and from the perspective of college teacher training,teacher training and teachers themselves,explores the countermeasures to improve the political geography literacy of middle school geography teachers under the current background of strengthening political geography education in middle schools.This article starts with combing the basic concepts of " political geography literacy" and " geography teacher education",and analyzes the basic connotation and promotion ways of political geography literacy of middle school geography teachers.Earnestly study Xi Jinping's educational thought,moral education theory,hierarchical sovereignty management theory and comprehensive national strength theory to lay a theoretical foundation for the following research.Through the analysis of classroom observation and questionnaire survey results of middle school geography teachers,we know that the current political geography literacy of middle school geography teachers cannot meet the requirements of middle school political geography education for teachers.Specifically,the relevant countermeasures are put forward from the following three aspects.First,in terms of teacher training,the countermeasures for cultivating the political and geographical literacy of geography teachers are explored from the perspectives of university's personnel training plan,curriculum,teaching material construction,university teachers' scientific research,teaching content and standards.In the second aspect,in terms of teacher training,from the perspectives of training programs,training courses,training materials,integration of colleges and universities,training assessment standards and forms,countermeasures are explored to improve thepolitical and geographical literacy of geography teachers.The third aspect,from the perspective of teachers' teaching and research consciousness,teaching reflection and teachers' autonomy,explores the countermeasures to improve geography teachers' political geography literacy.Finally,the research results of this paper are summarized,the innovation points of this research are put forward,the shortcomings of this research are recognized,and further research is prospected.
