The new round of the education reform causes the attention of the whole society,especially the mathematics reform more notable.The improvement of mathematics learningability is part of the mathematics education reform, while the mathematics reading ability isan important part of mathematics learning ability, the position of which is critical. So it isnecessary to study mathematics reading ability.In this thesis, the current junior high school students mathematics reading ability on thebasis of research results at home and abroad, combined with the author of three years teachingexperience related to the preparation of the questionnaire, pursuant to understand the status ofa county junior high school students mathematics reading ability Hainan and propose relevantsolutions strategy. At the same time I also according to the actual situation of Hainan countyin the preparation of the junior high school math students reading ability test volumes,supplemented by interviews with teachers and students to learn more about the actual mathclear reading ability, to ensure the authenticity of the reliability of the survey results, so thatthe study effectively.The research subjects for this study are300students and10teachers of mathematics insome county of Hainan Province. Through mathematics reading ability examinations,mathematics reading ability questionnaires and interview the teachers and students, the authoracquires the primary sources of the present situation of mathematics reading ability in juniorhigh school students in some county of Hainan Province. The investigation results shows asfollowing:1、 Junior high school students mathematics reading current situation is grim insome county of Hainan Province.2、Junior high school students mathematics reading ability ispoor, especially the application of mathematical language ability, the problem solving methodand mathematical reasoning ability is worse.3、 Students have obvious feelings of dislikestudies, we should focus on cultivating students’ interest in mathematics reading.Through the analysis of the investigation result we can found there are a lot of reasonscause of the above phenomenon, mainly embodies in four aspects society, family, teachersand students. In the respect of the influence of social environment, the county is ethnicminority autonomous county, civilized degree is relatively backward, parents don’t payattention to family education, who think that study is useless; From the teachers’ perspective, teacher’s teaching Conception hasn’t been updated, and the teaching method is single,there is no enough attention to the mathematics reading, lack of the correspondingreinforcement and usual training, and they Can not properly guide students in mathematicsreading, or they have no proper reading methods to teach students; From the students’perspective, students generally have poor mathematical basis, the language level is not highand lack of interest in mathematical study, and mathematical cognitive structure is deficient,and they have no good mathematics reading habit and also lack of good mathematics qualityand so forth.According to the analysis conclusion, combined with the mathematical teaching practice forthree years, the author puts forward several countermeasures for the training of junior highschool students mathematics reading ability: The cultivation of mathematics reading ability injunior high school students can begin from the teaching of basic knowledge; And let thestudents read extracurricular books, widen their sight; In the process of teaching, standardizethe students’ problem solving process; Proper introduction of mathematical culture, improvethe students’ interest in reading and learning; Teachers should improve personalaccomplishment, attract students into their classroom; Cultivate good reading atmosphere inclass, to create a harmonious reading environment; Teachers should guide mathematicsreading method to students; and also cultivate students good habits of mathematics readingand etc. in combination with each other for these respects.
