Local geography material comes from life; it can bond the students’ life and geographyknowledge together. If teacher can sufficient and reasonable use it into the high schoolgeography teaching, not only can stimulate students’ interest in learning, but also can make upfor the inadequacy of the current textbooks. And at the same time, it can also cultivatestudents’ geography skills and ability of using geography knowledge to thought and solveproblems. Then enable students to feel the changes in their hometown, set up the concept ofsustainable development, cultivate their environmental consciousness. Consequently,strengthen students’ love to their hometown and motherland.Under the guidance of new curriculum concept, based on the analysis to the localgeographical effect, students’ current situation and Pan Jin’s local geography material as wellas the study on the feedback and the result of using Pan Jin’s local geography material intoteaching procedure in the process of internship, this thesis has the conclusion that theinfiltration of local geographical materials into high school geography teaching is verynecessary. This article adopts the research techniques such as Literature method, Literaturemethod and case analysis method to analyze the local geography information at home andabroad. And on the basis of practical investigation, this thesis tries to come up with a skilfuluse of local geographical material means to make the interinfiltration of the use of localgeographical material and the High school geography teaching and at the same time they cansupplement each other in the High school geography teaching procedure. In the meantime,this thesis puts forward several problems that the teachers should pay attention to in the usingprocess. This paper takes Pan Jin city as the study area to penetrate local geography materialinto the research and demonstration of high school geography teaching. The article aims toexplore an effective way to improve the quality of high school geography teaching as well ashopes to provide a way to consult for the front-line high school geography teachers,invigorate the geography teaching of the front-line high school geography teachers. And atlast, this research results also fills the gap in academic research, throw away an idea in orderto get some development of relevant theoretical research topic.
