Content: In recent years, Suzhou No.12Middle School has begun to carry out ateaching model which is called “Selecting system for junior high students”. It is the firstone to come out this teaching reform in China. The selecting system is a combination ofthe advantages of “credit system” and “satisfied teaching”. According to the problemsof those special students, the aim if this model is to solve these problems, like how toimprove the quality of study in this school. The model is a reform and innovational. Forstudents, the model is based on the interest of students, it can make them clearly realizethe strong points about themselves, and students can foster strengths and circumventweaknesses. It’s good for them to improve their personal qualities For the teachers, eachsubject will be treated equally by the model. It can mostly reflect the effect on thegrowth of students with different subjects. All the teachers have the chance to meet thedifferent needs of different students; it will arouse the teachers’ enthusiasm. In thetraditional teaching method, there is a class teacher in charge of a class. He or she is therepresentative to be responsible for students. But under the selecting system, the classteacher is no longer like before. He or she has to manage not only a common class butalso a new class which is formed by those students who are in the same level. Thissystem manages the students as the headmaster in school, and also it is like a bridge toconnect the school and parents. Teachers can choose the suitable materials for theirstudents, and it is good for the students’ body and health; it also can build a goodrelationship between schools and parents. Parents can know their teachers, supervisethem and evaluate them. The principles can give a correct estimation to their teacherswith this selecting system, so the teachers can be more active than before, enhance thesense of responsibility and sense of honor, All of these are good for the teachersthemselves. At the same time, the selecting system set the new demands to the teachers,they have to do well in their teaching work and change the teaching methods according to the growth of students in time so that they can manage the class effectively. My paperbased on the practical experience, definition of the system, the train of thought, thevalue, the strategies and some methods of management to give a conclude the system.We hope to consummate it in order to achieve the success in teachers and students andadvance the reform in school and ideological education.
