Based on the definition of teachers’further education(FE) in primary and secondary school, the paper analysed its history since1949. Within the perspective of lifelong education,the paper also studied the idea origin, implementation stage and the specific paradigm and the main model of FE, including:(1)"training institutions orientation" and "school orientation" model;(2)"study and training " model, etc. Thus, the FE teacher continuing education has significance of the age, practical and the teachers’ professional development.In theory carding and discuss, through the investigation and literature sorting, the paper described the present situation of FE in Suzhou primary and secondary school, and found the quantity, academic title level and growth of its teachers has made remarkable achievements, through system construction and implementation, training mode, system consummation. And there are lots of specialized training project associated. The concrete practice, the FE in Suzhou also focus on the countryside, pay attention to balance, look forward to the future, and face to the world.Finally, in view of the current education and practice of FE in Suzhou,there are some problems in the existence of the system, teaching management, training implementation, training subject field and so on, this article puts forward the specific strategies.
