Ideological and political theory courses for college students bear the tasks to give systematic education of Marxist theory, and help students establish a scientific outlook on world, life and values. The overall quality and the actual effects of the teaching of these courses determine the achievement quality of the talent cultivation objectives directly. Life experiential approach can promote the ideological and political theory courses to achieve the educational nature of the free and comprehensive development of humanity, with the functional characteristics such as transcendence of time and space, richness of emotions, depth of cognition, it makes the ideological and political theory courses pay more attention on human’s subjectivity, care more about the demands of student’s growth, their daily life, and guide students to reflect their values, thus to help them overcome the blindness of self-growth, deal with the risk of social development, achieve coordination of people and society. As for the specific implementation of this teaching approach, it should under the principle of insisting the co-ordination of political and anima, purpose and process, indoctrination and subjectivity, individuality and sociality, both the situational teaching and practice teaching approaches can be adopted, at the same time, a kind of " problem-induced-quaternary interaction" life experiential teaching equation model is designed, thus to help students to understand the natural life, social life and spiritual life.
