The group of migrant workers is the product of time in35yearsof reform and opening-up policy, and it’s a new, special andimportant group in the process of urbanization. On the one hand,the development of cities and society needs this group. On the otherhand, the reality of reform and opening up impacts their bettersurvival needs. They do the hard work, bear severe pressure, andface the education problems of the children. These problemsinfluence the healthy growth of their children. For a long time,the basic education resources of Western areas in China are stillin a situation with weak economic foundation and more debts, andare lack of education resources. And with the constant quick speedof urbanization, it leads to the migrant workers asking cities forincreasing education resources in order to solve the educationproblem of their children. It forms a contradiction which isdifficult to solve recently. Moreover, adding to many factors suchas existing inertial thinking of education problem and householdregister system, it makes many education problems of their childrenlike fairness, openness, adaptability, and integration emerge inan endless stream. If these problems which involves “people’slivelihood” cannot be solved as soon as possible, it will not onlydirectly influences the healthy growth and development of the children, but also will influences the stability of the society andbuilding a well-off society. By using documentary method, interviewmethod, questionnaire method and other methods, this essay takesa public school, No.23Middle School for example. It makes a surveyin children’s behavior habit, family environment, learningadaptability, psychology and other aspects. It analyzes theexisting problems in the policy, system, education management andother aspects under new situation. Moreover, by combining No.23Middle School’s education idea to the education of the children,and the useful attempts this school having done, it comes up withmore specific measure like “people-oriented” and “lay thefoundation for the students’ lifelong development”.
